regarding HP calculators of a couple of important links to get started.

For a 50g emulator and debugger for Windows: http://www.debug4x.com
Debug4x gives your Windows machine its very own 50g to play with--plus
you can create software and test it on the "emulated" 50g before
possibly crashing your real calculator :)
