Brian  here is a good intro to the programming abilities of the 50G.  This will set you straight.
It's on the internet.

Set your 50G to RPN mode and try the following  --  it's the formula to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit.

<<  1.8  [times]   32.0  [plus]  >>

press in the above and then press ENTER.  Formula appears on line 1: .

to save it, press  '  [row 4, column 3]  and now press in the name.  Let's call it C2V.  press the ALPHA key once, press the C key [F2], press the 2 key, press the ALPHA key again, and press the V key [EEX].  You should have   'C2V'  on line 1: .  Now press the STO key.  the screen will clear and you will find C2V on the VAR key selection.

to use, put in the Celsius temp and press the 'Fx Key' under the C2V.   The Fahrenheit temp will appear.  You should be able to F2C similarly.

Goood luck with your 50G.  They're pretty neat.     Ed Von Essen

an electronics major in college and i would like to be able to input
some of the formulas into the calculator. Do any of you know how to
accomplish this? Thank you very much.
