I always thought this was made using a big serge modular, but apparently
not, its (I quote)
"an EWI with a custom string filter designed by
Steiner. Anyone with an original EWI/EVI could have had one installed
by Steiner, you just had to wait forever"
hmmmm, any designer types reading this?
"A custom string filter"<<
Moog CE supposedly offers the old Moog string filter in module or stand alone
form, or so said their site the last time I visited it. And some list member
bought the only "Formular Sound" string filter ever made that was either used
by Patrick Gleeson or Micheal Boddicker, I can't remember which one. If
offered enough, maybe he'll sell it.
Or you can do what I did, buy a Nord Modular (or Micro Modular) and create a
string resonator in a patch or to process external audio, as in my sample
MP3's (Cello,Strings) at the bottom of the following page.
