Dunno about this, but when I was planning out my serge modular ( a
l∗∗∗∗∗o∗∗∗∗∗n∗∗∗∗g term ongoing project) I did try to arrange it so I'd
have a panel with just sockets - no knobs or switches! I thought it
would look really cool. Couldn't quite manage it without compromising
intuitiveness tho'.
ah well...
on the subject of serge related stuff...
I just got a reply from an AH listmember about the hyper-realistic
violin sound serge/sound transform sys associate kevin braheny uses on
one of his albums ("Western Spaces", with steve roach & richard burmer)
I always thought this was made using a big serge modular, but apparently
not, its (I quote)
"an EWI with a custom string filter designed by
Steiner. Anyone with an original EWI/EVI could have had one installed
by Steiner, you just had to wait forever"
hmmmm, any designer types reading this?
"A custom string filter"
Try to hear this album, this is one processor I'm sure people are going
to want...
best wishes (& curious)
