Paint tends to adhere much better to wood than to metal, though, even when
primed. That's why finished are "baked." I'm not saying it wont work; just
do some tests first.

There's different textured paint. I sprayed some of the "Make It Stone"
paint on pine, and it seems to adhere just about as well as regular spray
paint. I couldn't remove any by hand or fingernail. Hitting it with a
hammer didn't chip chunks off, as the paint doesn't become brittle when it
dries. It only left a little wood mark right where the hammer struck. I
didn't use the sealer spray that comes with it either.
