All,
Got my 820 yesterday (thanks again Paul).. Sprinted through assembly (this
one doesn't have too many parts) in under two hours and messed with it until
4 in the morning. Man lemme tell you, this thing is Waaaaay more than
"portamento". I didn't want to set up my midi/cv keyboard etc so I just
triggered my eg from my lfo and slewed the envelope all night long : ) I
haven't even done the portamento thing yet! This thing has some serious
voltage mangling capability. Especially in the first hour or so it was
leading me all over the place, but as I became more familiar with the
settings, I started regaining control.. The three outs is a great thing,
makes it really convenient to use.
Well, two hours and twenty patchcords later, my mind was blown, another super
module from Paul, way to go!! (and I haven't even put it under vc yet, oh
man! : )
One thing Paul, would it be possible to make it so the LED comes on when
it is slewing and turns off when it is not slewing? As opposed to how it is
now? When I was first using it, this seemed like the most logical way for
the LED to work. I haven't looked at the schemos or claibrated it yet, so
I'll do a bit of snooping and see if I can maybe set it up this way. Anyone
have a reason why the LED should be on when it's not in use, a reason good
enough to make me change my mind on this??
