"blame" Spectrol. They moved production from England to Mexico last year.
You
have the UK version, which was 'firmer'. Nothing I can do about it, except
not
worry about it and enjoy the sonic pleasures :) And the blue Bourns pots are
a different
feel as well. There's no way I can even win this battle :(

Paul S.
[ot] Went into local high-end audio store. If you are tired of the
Pioneer/Sony/etc crap
at Best Guy/Good Guys/etc then find a Mark Levinson dealer in your area. Go
look at
a Model 383 intergrated preamp/amp. Hold the "machined-from-a solid-block
of-stainless-steel"
remote. You don't even have to ∗listen∗ to it. Yep, there are still
engineers that can design
the good stuff. Look at a pair of B&W 804's. (OK, I'm British hi-fi biased.
I have a Rotel 971 CD).

My arms are sore hauling those 32kg 804 speakers up the stairs :)!! I'll
claim insanity when the VISA
bill arrives. If I sell about 400 more modules, I can get the 383 amp.
Errr...I mean...errr...
the wife need a wood floor in the bedrooms :0 Yeah, that's it......
