Well Fred,
For my system I have custom made a couple of cables with the perfect length
for the connections they make. These include short "Out of the way" cables
for filter to filter, vco to filter fo atleast one waveshape, eg's to vcf's
and vca's for gate and cv out, pulse from vco to 120 sub octave mux, etc.
Anyway my cables that are almost always pluuged in have really short cables
so they stay out of the patching area most of the time. REALLY has helped my
patching out being able to more clearly see through the fog of cables. Are
you making cables yourself or buying them? I bought a roll of cable for
about $100 from Mouser and now when I need cables, I simply buy the
connectors and different colors of shrink to make whatever I need, whenever
I need it. If you can build modules you can certainly build audio cables.
Anf the home built way is cheap per cable. The trick is finding a good deal
on the connectors. Hope this helps!
