Hello all you crazy people,
Just wanted to ask opinions of the Doepfer A-155 sequencer for those who own
more than just MOTM in their system. Is it a good simple sequencer? I have
the need for a simple 8-step jobber and of all three European manufacturers,
the Doepfer looks like the winner for me. I had considered the Analogue
Solutions 8-step CV, and Gate sequencers but they lack the features of the
A-155. Are there any downfalls I have to look out for other than buying
brand D? Please advise
PS DO NOT BUY the Doepfer spring reverb. This thing came with the spring
tank mounted on the PCB and after horrible customer complaints, Doepfer made
a mod where you remove the tank from the PCB and attatch RCA cables to it so
you can move it around in your rack or even outside the rack to be mounted
for the least amount of RFI. Well, it doesn't work and the thing is a piece
of crap! I have a full on ground hum in my reverb out and I can't get it to
go away for anything. I love the flexibility of my other Doepfer things, but
this was a huge let down!!!
