I have some of the RS knobs from before the MOTM days. There actually is a
fair difference in the quality of the part. The RS will more easily crack
if overtightened. Since, I am the only one I know of so far to actually
twist the stud form the back of a MOTM panel, I consider myself an expert on
breakage by overtightening. :)

I actually found some at Radio Shack. The only differences are that the RS
knobs use a flat-head set screw instead of hex, and the silver part of the
knobs seems set in a fraction of an inch deeper than the MOTM knobs.
Neither difference is noticeable at all in use. Don't remember what i paid
for a bag of knobs, but it can't have been much.
