I have a free afternoon after meeting a work deadline, and it's raining, so
how better to spend it than building a lag processor, right? (good thing my
wife's not here)
so, I started stuffing resistors and ran into a few confusions:
(1) The parts list calls for 6 10K resistors (R3, R13, R14, R15, R27, R28)
while the instructions call for 5 (the previous list minus R3). I recieved
5, and assumed the instructions are right.
(2) The parts list calls for 4 15K resistors (R17, R19, R20, R23) while the
instructions call for 5 (the previous list PLUS R3). I recieved 4 and left
R3 empty for now.
(3) The parts list calls for 3 2K7 resistors (R5, R29, R30). The
instructions call for 4, but only list the above 3 slots. I recieved 4,
filled the specified slots and have one extra.
(4) The parts list calls for a 100 ohm resistor in R4. This isn't in the
instructions. I recieved 1 100 ohm, and soldered it into R4.
So, now, I'm now short a resistor for R3. Should it be a 10K or 15K? I have
some 10K's around here but no 15K's. My only local source is Radio Shack,
who generally never have a specific resistor if I need one.
