I suppose it is the same thing in general. The MOTM version, of course, is
much
more sophisticated.

The ∗main∗ purpose is to divide clock pulses from source to drum machines.
This allows
complex time patterns (like 9/7).

The MOTM version ∗will∗ divide audio up to 15Khz inputs. Sort of like the
'120, which
can divide /2, /4, /8, and /16 but not necessarily optimized for drum
machines. The MOTM
version's outputs are 0 to +5V, NOT -5 to +5V. The driver is a 74ABT244
buss-driver IC
which can handle patch cords (capacitive load!).

There is info from Old Crow on this module in the archives. It uses 2ea PIC
uPs for most
of the dirty work.
