The CV Address Generator module in my system makes all kinds of stage
selections easy: rising saw in = forward play, falling saw in =
backward play, triangle in = forward then backward play, S&H in =
random select, envelope follower in = select based on the sound's
envelope, etc. It's really just a simple 4 bit analog to digital
converter. This flexibility was another argument for separating the
pot matrix from the addressing scheme, since many sequencers only
allow clock inputs for addressing.
