from my ∗limited ∗ knowledge and i would double-check it:
to be safe, i would use an audio-rated bi-polar (BP) electrolytic for the
first cap (mouser has them) and a cheap old ceramic disc (or yellow axial
ceramic, like the little motm ones) for the second. from your description
of the second's value as 0.001uF, keep in mind that that is the same as
1000pF (picofarads) which is how the catalog will list it.
