> Could someone give me some ideas on the usage of the Sub octave mutiplier
>(120)
here's a copy of a message I just posted to AH:
I made a little diddy on my motm modular just for fun... it makes a cool
little demo of what can be done with just 3 or 4 modules.
here's the neat part: I use no oscillators or sequencers!
it's got 4 parts (all produced my one module) all with 4 different rhythms.
here's what I did:
motm 440 filter, self oscillating at a very low frequency (cheater
oscillator) into
the motm 120 suboctave mux (someone was asking for ideas on this I think..).
I have an LFO
going into the 120, cross modulating the input signal. This creates 4
different rhythms
through each of the 4 suboctaves.
the only other thing in there is a kick drum & single hihat. all the rest
is motm with absolutely no sequencing.
The track doesn't really stand on it's own as a song, but makes a pretty
cool demo of the motm
you can hear it on www.mp3.com/puffboy the track is called (surprisingly
enough) "MOTM madness"
take care,
paul
