Here are a couple I found in the Marlin P. Jones catalog:
800-652-6733
www.mpja.com
12664-PS: Used linear supply in a sealed box +15V and -15V each @ 350 ma
box size 3 1/2 X 2 1/2 X 1 7/8 $7.95
8994-PS: new power supply kit +12 V and -12 V each @ 250 ma
5" X 2" X 1 1/2" $16.95
This is the same catalog where several of us purchased nice surplus power
one supplies for $20. Of course, that supply does not meet your size
requirement.

Ok, I'm looking to build a small (18 note) pedal controller for my MOTM. I
have the mechanicals and I was looking to use the keyboard schematic from
www.xavax.com. It requires + & - 12V supplies. I know that switching power
supplies are a big no-no for powering oscillators and other voltage
sensitive modules, but would one be ok to power this circuit? I really want
to stay away from using the power one supply for the MOTM, I'd like to keep
the two independent of each other. The other problem is a size limitation,
unless I go outside the chassis I only have a 3.5"x1.5"x12" area to fit this
power supply. I was looking at the Lambda KWD series and the TDK FCP series,
but they are both switching supplies. Should I build an external linear
supply? Also, what kind of current would a circuit like this require? I'm
sorry for all the silly questions, but all my electrical engineering
experience involved prebuilt components (opto boards, motor controllers,
pneumatic switches) so when it gets to the component level, I get lost
easily. -Nate
