Hey folks,
I have a couple of new tracks up that use a bit of MOTM: "Brought to You by
the Letter M Pt 2" and "Brent Burket."
WARNING--TECHNO!
available at
http://www.mp3.com/baldbastardNow you can't say I didn't warn you. Anyway, the first uses MOTM-300 for the
high-pitched lead line and MOTM-440 on the kick. The second line is FR777,
and the rest is TR-909, digital delay, and EH Deluxe Electric Mistress.
The second ("Brent Burket") uses an unmoving MOTM-410 on the samples (SP-12
directly into the filter). The MOTM-700 is used as a super-fast VCA;
tripping it quickly, it passes a self-oscillating filter for some classic
analog percussion beginning around 1:45 (like really fake, high congas?) The
really deep bass you hear at some points is also MOTM--a 440 filter. The
lead/bass line is FR777. I'd really like to hear feedback about those
high-pitched percussion sounds. If you jump right to about 4:35 you can hear
them pretty clearly.
I have a couple more tracks on deck that do some really neat stuff. They're
just not uploaded yet. One of them bounces a MOTM-300 signal (CV from SH-101
arpeggiator) between two MOTM-420s for a strange vocal effect--quite a few
people thought I was either using samples or a modified Speak & Spell.
Another uses the MOTM-700 to switch between a couple of very noisy "effect"
type sounds generated with many MOTM modules.
More when I upload them...
