Subject: FutureRetro Sequencer Info

I have talked with Jared from FutureRetro several times over the past couple
of
months mainly concerning their new stand-alone sequencer called the Mobius.
For
those of you that don't know, this is the sequencer portion of the wildly
popular FutureRetro 777. It will be perfect for controlling your MOTM gear
until we have the DoMOAS and MOAS. I am very excited about this project and
am
buying one as soon as they come out. They do NOT have a waiting list; I
already tried.
Below are some excerpts from our conversations. Any mistakes are mine.
These
were from private conversations, so please do not repost or forward. This
information is very likely to change:
The Mobius is just about to go into production. Everything is basically done
just waiting for parts to come in. Chances are it will still be at least 4
to 6
weeks before the first units are ready (from August 16, 2000). Price will
not be
higher than $325 although we are still aiming for $300.
I have several of the MOTM modules that I plan on controlling with our
Mobius
sequencer once it is finished.
The Mobius has several main uses:
∗People who bought 303 clone sound modules will now have a sequencer to
control their modules in the way the original 303 sequencer did, plus have
all
the real-time editing features.
∗MIDI to CV conversion, V/Oct and Hz/V
∗MIDI to DIN Sync conversion
∗MIDI clock to analog clock conversion, with reset line for controlling
analog sequencers and arpeggiators.
Cheers!
