Yup, Wes Taggert (Analogics) got ahold of a fairly large sized Moog modular with
bashed up cabinets and found that selling it in pieces was much more profitable than
selling it as a system. I think that is an understatement. I would expect more
modules to continue dribbling out on eBay from this system for awhile. From what I
have heard about the system, it has/had 2 complete filter sets and it appears to be
largely R.A. Moog modules (pre 1971 era). Yes, all the modules have the insurance
number of the previous owner engraved on the front.
I was interested in the Bode Frequency shifter (something I think Paul will never
make) but it got truly ridiculous in price (closing at $2100!)
The ribbon is probably a 956 Ribbon controller that was more common on the old
console systems. Notice that the keyboard and ribbon have large round mil-style
multipin connectors. These plug into the back of the console cabinet. They are
very big solid connectors but good luck getting replacements or parts for any
reasonable cost. The 1150 was made more as an accessory to the Minimoog.
