Subject: So Cal MOTM Group?

From: "thomas white" <djthomaswhite@...>
Date: 2000-06-06

Question is how many of us are here? NYC and New England holds the heaviest
concentration of MOTM'ers, but how many are actually out here? Maybe we
could try to get together a west coast meeting of the guys with their gear.
I don't have much of a modular yet (In terms of my dream to be the owner of
a modular I can't carry around in one piece its so damn big!!!), but I'll
bring it all to something or somewhere it can truly be shared and
appreciated.

So obviously I would be interested. I live in Orange County, 45 mins south
of Los Angeles. Fortunately my MOTM is in SKB's so I can take it on a road
trip to meets its relatives if I need to. My schedule is crazy, but a
planned meeting is always workable. Who else is from So Cal on this list?
What type of setup do you have (Modules?)

Thomas (110, 120, 2x300, 320, 410, 420, 440, 2x800, 900) White

Personal Info: 26 years old, Make and release dance music on independant
labels in 4 countries, Synthaholic, Run a record store with actual brand new
vinyl relases and they keep on coming Imagine that in this cd world.
Starting my own label this month called "Serious Sounds" and hope to have a
page up by early next year with pictures, sound samples and a side page just
for my MOTM and DIY projects. Thanks to Ken for the inspiration there :~)
And I drive a beater of a pick up so I can carry all of my equipment to the
meeting if it materializes. Don't forget I like dark beer and late in the
afternoon about 4:20 or so I get real lazy. Go figure

Plus: Roland 909, SH101, MC202, Korg Poly Six, Roland MKS-80 w Programmer,
Blacet Modules (Dark Star, Klang Werk, Final Filtre, Frequency Divider),
Low-Fi Paia/EPFM Rack, Mooger Fooger collection and good ol' re-101 space
echo and other gear like sampler and digital standards.

PS. I have started using Corel draw to design my own DIY panels for MOTM
with the help of a template from Stooge Larry and JB. My first design is
complete and now I only have to finalize my circuit design (The easy part...
Yeah right!) So I will take my time and test my design on a breadboard
before I burn anything up (IE. $48 CEM3310) If anybody is interested in this
panel template, please let me know.
