Subject: Re: [motm]mods for the roland 180 and 181

According to the 180 spec sheet the power consumption is 40ma for the +15Vrail and 20ma for the -15V. The 6 pin din connector carries +/-15V, Ground,Keyboard CV, Gate and Trigger. I plan to open mine up over the weekendand see where the pinouts go. I also received a 6 pin din cable with thekeyboard and was thinking about cutting off one end and connecting an AMP.156 connector like the ones used in MOTM. Or I may just use a wallwart. The service manuals for the 100M series can be found at  MusicMachines: Roland System-100m  The links are not indexed so youwill have to open each until you find what you are looking for. Hope thishelps. Charles.

unless i'm mistaken, the 180 and 181 are poweredby the special connector
for the rest of the system... anyone know how difficult it wourldbe to
change this to a motm power connector, and if so, what would bethe power
consumption level (in terms of motm module equivelants)?
