While he didn't have time for a lengthy description (not that I would've
understood it anyway) he mentioned that in the 820 getting a pot to control
the degree of curve was actually very difficult while keeping the module
stable and with no offset over the full range (remember, while I might be
using this to do weird stuff, a lot -- maybe most -- people will be using
this for some sort of portamento control at least some of the time). So an
OTA won't work in this application for VC. And similarly, a VCA would work
but would also most likely introduce problems with offset and the rest.
I've lived without VC curve shape on a lag processor this long, I don't think
I need it now.
