Thanks for the description Larry, I can't wait to get my hands on
one. I just finished my first 420 today and spent hours running
a bass guitar through it. Well, it and a 410. It is amazing how
many great sounds I can get w/ just a Fender Precision bass,
a dbx compressor and one of these filters controlled by various
other modules. Tomorrow I'm building my first 320. I realize
that besides the wonderful exotic stuff I could really use
a mixer module (stereo w/ vc pan), and an envelope follower.
Everyone was right about the levels. The line out on my
compressor was plenty to drive the filters. I had my
monitors cranked and absolutely no hiss.
BTW, this is OT, but has anyone checked out the digi001?
Sort of a poor man's ProTools. I sold my analog tape
deck and mixer and have been wanting to move to a computer
based digital system. Has anyone out there checked it out?
I really don't want a Windows based system, and I think
I'll be an even older man before the pro audio industry
wakes up to Linux, so I'm considering a G4 w/ the digi001.
I'm just wondering if the ProTools LE software is sufficient
or do I need to consider Cubase or Logic?
