Last time I asked Paul about the 101 it was 5 weeks. That was a couple of
weeks ago. So maybe 3 to 4 weeks sounds right. Paul ?

The two differences I know about are:
Adding SLEW RATE pot on the output of the S&H
Adding a front panel switch to replace the on-board vibrato source selector
jumper

I don't think you have a choice. I think the 100s are gone.

I have seem the Expressionist open. I would never try to hack it into a
different enclosure. However, I have experienced the same concerns as you.
My stuff is currently in a 19" rack, but I am only nano-seconds away from
starting my wood case once the flat rails become available. And, like you,
I want some space 19" rack stuff (maybe 3 or 4 pieces for me). I have two
solutions, and I will probably use both at one time or another.
My very bottom cabinet (in the end) will probably be 5U tall and have MOTM
modules on one side and 19" rack space on the other side. In the mean
time. I am building two cabinets. First a 24U X 11 U slant cabinet. That
will hold 48 MOTM units and two magic busses (another story). I plant to
make a special metal mounting bracket that will bolt into 11 MOTM units of
width and give me 4 19" 1U spaces. I can move it around my case as I see
fit. I will be happy to share the plans when complete. However, one could
easily design their wood case with a combination of 19" and MOTM. If you
make your case 23 MOTM units or more wider, you will have room for 2 19"
rack units side by side either above or below the MOTM modules. Given that
the flat rails will be 12 spaces, 24 sound like a nice round number.
