Something with about 56 trimmers. If the 16-pin ICs are NE570/571s or
some other comoander, my guess is a vocoder. (Can't read them, but can
tell enough that they're NS parts). Unless there is another board
containing more circuitry, I don't see anything (aside from an input stage
near the lower left of the board as pictured) besides 7 ranks of the same
circuit.

I was going to say, if Paul has to lay this sucker out one day, his head
will explode. Then I realized he only has to lay out 1 circuit and repeat
it 6 more times then add fiddly bits. This ain't no 2U module, thats for
sure. (If it is an MOTM prototype at all)...

...and if it is, I wonder how folks will deal with 56 trimmers. This is
better than a Voyetra-8 in trimmer density, at least. (I took a bunch of
pics of one of my V-8s; I'll put them on a web page eventually).
