Update - I wasted 2 weeks screwing around with one machine shop, only to be
finally blown off today, so I just came back from another one. They will be
making a 2U steel panel for me, 3/16" thick, with half the panel templated
for 8 rows of 2 jacks, the other half templated for standard pot and/or
switch locations. The estimated cost is $40 - $50.
All interested folk contact me, and tell me if you'd be interested in my
having a bunch made, or if you'd rather just get a drawing and have it made
locally. I'm not sure I could get much of a discount unless they ran 100
pieces or more.
