Subject: RE: [motm] Blacet Chop-Up Question

Well, I can't add much more after Ken and Larry have so eloquently stated my
sentiments. I'm mounting a DarkStar as we speak on a MOTM 2U panel. I chose
to buy a pcb bracket from Paul, and found 4 places on the pcb to drill
mounting holes. Because they are close to traces, I'm using nylon standoffs
and bolts to avoid shorting anything. I'm using the blue MOTM-800 pots
mounted off-board, Switchcraft jacks, and a matching Lumex LED. I have
silkscreen art designed and am still wrestling with finding a way to
economically screen the panel.

Is the DarkStar worth all this? Frankly, it's kind of an underwhelming
module to me. It's just a 1970's video game chip, no more, no less. The
point is that I'm developing the techniques I'll need to integrate DIY
modules or pcbs made by others into my system.
