Insert classic ghost town whistle here...
Ooh wee ooh wee ooooooohhhhhh!!!!
The list has been a ghost town man. Where is everybody? Is anybody afraid to
talk due to the recent conversations about list content?
Anyway, I found a company called "Middle Atlantic" who sells a 2 unit rack
similar to the Frakrack by Paia and the rack rails by MOTM. You can purchase
pre-punched 2 space wide panels for this thing with holes for 1/4" jacks,
XLR, ,Pots, vents or computer connectors.
I plan to mount one of these racks at the bottom of my twelve space SKB for
my MOTM and use the individual 2x2 panels for multiples, Headphone Pre-amp
and a VU meter maybe. Maybe even a joystick in the future if Paul doesn't
come out with a MOTM one! You can buy the 2x2's with either 8 or 4 holes for
1/4" jacks. You can make the 8 hole guy into a multi that is two sections of
4 that connect as 8 with a switch you have to drill in separately. The model
number of the rack is MPS-FK and the panels are MPS-3/8X8. You can also get
blank panels.
Check it out at middleatlantic.com and tell me what you think. I don't know
about pricing yet because they do not allow for on-line ordering. Apparently
they have to contact you with the closest vendor to you via e-mail. Pretty
cool for modular multiples or smaller modules that won't take up a whole
blank MOTM panel! I think I remember seeing these locally for about $25 for
the rack and $5 each for the panels? Not really sure.

PS. For you Kenton 2000 owners out there. Is there enough room on the rack
ears to drill holes 2 rows for 1/4" jacks on either side of the Kenton? I
would like to mount jacks here and make 1/8" to jack adapter cables so I can
access all of the Kenton rear mounted jacks 1/4" style from the front face
of my modular. how about additional room for a MIDI in jack too. Is it
possible? Give me a shout. Thanks for your help and opinions.
