In my previous msg, I didn't mean to imply that this should become a
free-for-all list, by any means. I guess what I meant is that the people on
this list form a community of sorts, and, while the MOTM addiction is
initially what we have in common, there's a lot of other areas that we
probably share. I think the Looper's Delight list is a pretty good example
of an email community that is structured around a specific technology
(looping devices), but tolerates a certain degree of wandering, with a fair
degree of civility.

And could we please do without the S∗∗∗∗, D∗∗∗∗∗∗ stuff? It was cute at
first but now it just makes stuff hard to read. "W∗∗∗∗", from a message
from a few weeks ago, had me scratching my head for most of a day...

But, Paul, you know that anyone who has ever played both MOTM and Doepfer
would never say that, unless they were hopelessly misguided...:-)

That must hurt! I'd urge you not to edit yourself, just because you design
the damn things it doesn't mean you can't have opinions! (and I KNOW you
have opinions). I think we all value your contributions here.

Indeed! The reason I unsubscribed from AH is because I subscribed the Logic
list. I'm one of the Opcode Orphans, making the switch to Logic.

Absolutely. I love checking out other people's music (Am listening to David
Bivins stuff as I write this, very cool!), and would like to hear how other
people integrate the modular synth into their concept.

"...there will come a day when you won't have to use
gasoline. You'd simply take a cassette and put it in
your car, let it run. You'd have to have the proper
type of music. Like you take two sticks, put 'em
together, make fire. You take some notes and rub 'em
together - dum, dum, dum, dum - fire, cosmic fire."
