I talked to a retailer about selling a product I'm working on. He
encouraged me to do everything I could to keep the price at $299 or
below. He said $300 is the psychological barrier for customers
(averaged, of course) between "why not?" and "major investment".
In the 5U MOTM world the priorities don't necessarily match the average
from the manufacturer or customer side. I'm just tossing it out as a
factoid.
