I thought about that, but this has one serious drawback: I'd end up with a
high quantity of channel PCBs, but a much lower quantity of PCBs for the
overall functions. Which means it would be more expensive.
Also, I don't seriously expect anybody to desire more than 20 Bands. Ok, the
EMS 5000 has 22 bands - but I managed to fit ∗almost∗ as many into a size
more in the region of an EMS3000. You can always ∗omit∗ bands, of course
(and do the nasty re-calculating of all filters), and it would still be less
expensive than using a modularized concept. With that single big PCB, I
expect the PCB to be less expensive than the capacitors, after all! :)
