Hey guys, I'm e-mailing Paul about this right now. Paul says I have a
resistor mistake. But just incase I'd like to hear from anyone here
who has a MOTM-440.
Problem:
-All inputs exhibit the same behavior: With 0 resonance OR some
resonance in Enhanced mode, once I turn the input trimmer past 7, the
signal begins to clip. The otherwise clean sines created by filtering
and resonance becomes buzzy and only the top of the waveform is
clipped. It does not exhibit a nice overdriven sound when the trimmer
goes past 7.
This clipping is not being caused by recording too hot. I can put the
output of the MOTM-440 into an attenuator before my recording
interface and still get the same kind of clipping.
Is this normal behavior? Should I just watch where I set my input trimmer?
