I just received a new cabinet from nice-racks.com that I'm really happy
with. I posted some pictures at
http://schmedley.com/moylando/It's a 26U slanted cabinet. I already had an 18U that they made me a
while back. I went with a larger slanted one because I've learned space
runs out quick, I like the ergonomics, and the additional height at the
bottom sets the modules above a keyboard.
The cabs use standard rack rails, so I'm using 10-32 stainless allen
head screws rather than the standard MOTM 8-32. The heads are small and
the stainless color helps demarcate the module boundaries. The cabinets
also have rails on the rear for mounting power supplies.
I think the photos illustrate what might be called 'feature creep' in
the software world. Top cabinet is the first I built myself (15U).
That filled up quick so I got the middle cabinet (18U).....and so on....
Nice-racks is really responsive, can handle just about any custom
request, and I think the prices are reasonable. Overall a great option
for those looking for cabinet solutions. They don't list MOTM cabs on
the site anymore, but they can and do make them.
FWIW, I have no affiliation with them besides being a customer.
