Subject: 5U vs E350 differences

a) I am thinking ∗not∗ to spend the time to make a super-duper 5U version. Rather, the 5U will be the same HW as the Euro, with 2 additional switches:

1 - interpolation on/off (this disables the morphing, so it only outputs the individual wavetables and not the blended ones)
2 - Quadrature waveforms on/off. Normally, there are 2 outputs: XY and Z. The output the result of the X+Y morph and the Z morph respectively. In quadrature mode, we re-assign the outputs so that the Z is a phase shifted copy of the XY AND then abount of the phase shift is CV'd. So, you can output any 'quadrature' (not just 90 degrees) from 0 to 360 degrees out of phase.

b) these 2 options are jumper pins on the Euro card, but would be from panel switches on the 5U.

Other than that, the wavetable set and the feature set would be the same.

b) shipping would be in late Feb/early March.

c) a super-duper version would cost $100 more, not be ready until summer 2010.
