I just put the connectors of a cable next to each other to see if the
colours are in the same order. I also do this with cables I got from
Paul.
Actually I don't mind what the colours are.
Admittedly if they were the same it would be harder to tell if the
cable is correct.
The only (and painful) mistake I ever did (so far) was to shift the
connector when putting it on, so that only three of four pins made
contact and of course a short circuit. But this was with a non-MOTM
module I "hurried into the synth" and not being careful enough. :-(
But I can understand Paul's pain!
