a) it was recently pointed out that the log pots I now stock are Spectrol
249J (metal shaft, plastic bushings) so I corrected the description in the
shopping cart. Please note that very long ago (1998/1999) I looked at the
all-plastic version and was not satisfied (these were made in the Spectrol
UK facility). The parts I currently have were made in the Sfernice facility
in France, and quite nice.

b) speaking of pots: The replacement Spectrol 148 linear conductive plastic
pots from BI are due in 1 week. These are 100% "pc footprint compatible"
with the existing Spectrol pots BUT have a slightly shorter shaft. The
"feel" is in-between a Bourns panel pot a a Spectrol 149 cermet.

These will be cut in as a "running change" as we say in the industry (will
use up the remaining Spectrol 148s, I had 83 left). They will be the primary
pots for the E340 SuperSaw VCO and any future Euro modules. And, when the
current log pots are gone, I will cut over to the BI log pot.

Lastly: for non-VCO modules, I will also start shipping assembled modules
with these later in the year as I can no longer afford the Spectrol pots
(the price literally doubled) and, BTW, for you MOTM 2.0 users the pot
prices will go up May 1st. Probably the knobs as well.

c) Due to high demand and possible new orders in April (remember, MOTM is in
both EM and SOS plus the Watchmen movie came out today!), I am going to
focus mostly on assembled modules until the end of May. I ∗am∗ going to kit
up both MOTM VCOs, and then start shipping all the kits I have. I have 70%
of them ready to go. I will not have 700/320 kits for sure until at least
mid-April.

I understand everyone with an outstanding order is anxious about receiving
it. Since I came off break Jan 7th, I have ∗shipped∗ 53 assembled modules.
That's quite a lot, but it is still (after today) more than 60 left to go. I
am having Shane build up 10 of every module, across the board. I have 510s,
190s and soon 420s built up. Next will be 300, then 320, then 410s. I'm
finishing up the last of the '730s on order this weekend, then moving to
'480s (those take a LONG time).

Looking at my schedule, it's going to be at ∗least∗ to the end of May for
the ∗current∗ assembled backlog to ∗fully∗ ship. As most of you have found
out, I tend to split-ship larger assembled orders (for one reason, I'm not
really comfortable shipping $6,000 of stuff overseas unless by Fed-Ex, and
that costs $600). The data base has a record of all the 'Partial Shipments'
and I will be going over those tomorrow to see what it takes to close these
out (there are 32 of these orders on the books), and also looking at orders
oldest-to-latest. I really appreciate those of you that understand the
situation. Trust me, I'm not "blowing anyone off", and PLEASE never take
