nice. how about some pics of the workbench...
i've assembled electronic kits (non-audio), but i've never ordered components from mouser or setup a proper workbench. i don't own a decent soldering iron. although i've watched plenty of youtube and IPC videos on soldering & desoldering every conceivable component, somehow i feel like i'm still missing something. thanks for asking all the questions i haven't gotten around to asking myself.
can anyone recommend a good long-lasting soldering iron that won't break the bank?

damnit, this post didn't work and it's missing a question I had for all of you MOTM users. Let me repost this, hold on!

How do you organize 100 different parts? Take a look at these images. The resistors you see on the floor are all resistors needed to complete the MOTM 800 and 190. This made it easier to decide how I should split up the resistors. By the way, I wrote in big all the resistances with a permanent marker to make it easier to see right away.

I got these plastic drawers and Big Lots.
