- stranded wire is MUCH easier to solder - stranded wire will take 10X the movement that solid wire will. Solid wire is for fixed installations (like in the walls of your house). - it's not a good idea to twist solid wire. Twisted wires have a lot less interference pick-up that individual solid wires
