Subject: RE: [motm] Is 22gage stranded wire acceptable?

I'm not sure about that particular brand, it could be fine . . or not. I
read some negative reviews of Radio Shack wire that the insulation melted at
lower temperatures and shrunk more than was acceptable. I bought some
anyway. Yeup, those people were right, it isn't very good wire!

Some good stuff I found at a reasonable price at a good dealer is NTE
stranded hookup wire from TriState Electronics:

I found some wire for less than $6.00. Why is all the wire over $25 at
mouser.com? Does this $6.00 wire suck or something? Or is it good for
MOTM projects?
