I'd be up for occasionally assisting with debugging and improving the
current source code if that becomes a reality. I'm a programmer by day but
because of that I'd rather play with modular synthesizers, drums and gongs
when I'm not at work! ;-) I'm not yet familiar with the language and syntax
etc that the MOTM-650 uses but I'll take a look around and see what it's
like.

nothing at all. but as you say, fixing the existing OS would
presumably be several orders of magnitude less effort.

hardware details are easily determined by buying a unit :-)
