Nope. The pot is dual-function. With no input, the pot sets resonance.
With something plugged in, the pot is an attenuator!

No, it is a special circuit that adds additional feedback. In lowpass
filters, as res
is changes, the bass falls off (negative feedback!). This is part of the
"Moog sound".

But the "SSM2040 sound" does ∗not∗ do this! Dave Rossum added 1 extra PNP
transistor
in the chip and had "bass compensation". So, in MOTM you have a choice!
