I am trying to use a MIDI breath conroller to play my modular through the 650, and I have an issue with the aux signal. I have patched up the aux 1 to CC7 (volume) and vhen I connect this to the CV port of my VCA the output is very "noisy" - sounds like white noise and pops mixed in with the synth sound. Looking at the signal from aux 1 in a scope shows the stair-shape of the curve from DA-converting, but no spikes/other artifacts. When I connect the VCA to an EG, everything sounds OK - but then of course I cannot control volume with breath.
Using breath to open the filter works OK (not so sensitive to artifacts?)
Do I need to do some processing of the aux 1-signal in order to smooth it out before applying it to the VCA?
Also, is there a revision of the 650 manual since version 0 [april 2006]?
