Subject: Y2K Woes! Please help immediately!

I have been listening to everything on the news and I am really concerned
about a lot of things in my life--loss of power, gas explosions, loss of
cash from bank, roaming bands of thieves, no water, my computer not working,
misguided planes crashing into my house (I live near an airport), etc.
What really concerns me is my Synthesis Technology MOTM Modular Synthesizer
not working after the first of the year. I have invested A LOT of money and
time in this unit and I have noticed that Mr. Schreiber has conveniently
neglected to state whether or not the MOTM is Y2K compliant; and as a
result, I am sure he has not even delved the least into ANY Y2K testing
(Notice how he conveniently took a vacation the week before New Year's!).
To me this means that he is TOTALLY avoiding the issue and will plead
ignorance when all of our MOTMs explode the first time we turn them on next
year. Most of us are well aware that the vast majority of the technology in
the MOTM came about in the late 60s and 70s which is the same time that most
of the computers were infected with the Y2K bug in many large corporations.
I have seen several TV shows which have verified this fact!
Mr. Schreiber has also left out any means for us to reset the internal
clocks in our units by ourselves. He has designed the units so any bloke on
the street can build one of these units and leaves out precious details
about resetting the internal clocks. Mr. Paul
I-got-my-Masters-in-Electrical-Engineering-and-you-don't-ha Schreiber seems
to think he is Mister know-it-all and we wouldn't be able to understand how
the clock functions work ourselves. Your going to regret that! This means
that I have spent a week trying to Y2K test my MOTM units myself without
success.
I have already contacted my lawyer about this matter and he seems to think I
have a very strong case. We have already drawn up some preliminary
documents and will fill in the details after the problems start occurring.
My lawyer encouraged me to let all of the other owners know what is going on
so that they can also make the proper legal preparations. I will be sending
the details of the lawsuit to Mr. Schreiber on Monday afternoon via .
I think there are many good lessons in this for us to learn. Unfortunately
we are all going to have to learn them the hard way!
Cordially Yours,
Mr. Shemp
