Subject: FW: [motm] Remembering

From: "Tkacs, Ken" <ken.tkacs@...>

These are good sentiments for a Christmas Eve, Tom, and I would like to echo them. (Analog delay, of course.)

I wish every one of you the very best.

Ken

"The most important things in life aren't things". That is what a
plaque hanging on my wall says. I keep it in view because it helps to
remind me what is important. Being the sentimental old fool, I am
prone to remembering the important things to me, this time of year.

Larry Hendry was an important person to me and I miss him and his
"pixie" wife Anne a whole bunch. They were delightful people I was
blessed with having known. I wish that just one more time I could
tell Larry "Merry Christmas!". Alas, I cannot.

I have not heard any recent updates about Paul Haneberg's recovery. I
think about him from time to time, especially on holidays. Never got
to meet him in person but he seems like a really nice guy and I wish
him the very best. I do hope he is on the mend. Does anyone have any
updates that can be shared?

This list has given me contact with a number of people whose
friendship has been highly valued. One fellow MOTMer, Joseph
Casbarian, has become a very good friend. I attended his wedding, and
his wife was the real estate agent for my son's first home purchase,
which closes in the morning. (Yes, on December 24!) Joseph and his
wife, Lisa, have become very dear and important friends to me ... and
this list was the connection point. How cool is that?

Dave Bradley and his wife Dianne, are very cool people too! I would
have never met them if not for this list and my life would not have
been enriched by having known them.

There are many other people on this list who are very dear to me, as
well. My list is too extensive to mention everyone, so I just named
the first people I met as a consequence of this group. Based on those
people I have met and known, this is a fine group of people and it is
my privilege to know all of you in one way or another. MOTM synths
are very cool, indeed. However, the considerable enjoyment I derive
form this odd collection of gear, is nothing compared to the value of
the people I can call "friends". I must give many thanks to all of
you. From my heart, I bid you all ... Merry Christmas!
