Hello! Autumn has pulled me out of the studio for a much needed
break, but I have also been busy organizing upcoming releases,
doing some mastering work for others, and planning a few small
gigs for next year. Here's some relevant news.

∗ Somnium Download
I was always a bit frustrated with the compromises I had to make
on the DVD release of Somnium, especially the compression on the
middle chapter and the lack of navigation, both a result of space
restrictions on the DVD-V format. When Ian Boddy told me about
his partnership with the new Musiczeit website, I asked if they
would be able to handle really big files. It seems they can. So,
I uploaded full resolution FLAC (lossless compressed) files of Somnium,
divided into thirds like the DVD, along with 256 bit MP3 files that
people can download for about the same price as the DVD. I plan to
keep Somnium in print as a DVD through Hypnos, but it seems that the
new downloadable formats might be a good home for such a long musical

∗ Holiday Specials
At the end of every year, my wife Dixie and I try to do something
special on the web order form, as a gift to fans. This year we're
making two changes from now until December 31 '07. First, Dixie has offered
to gift-wrap any purchase if you click on the box requesting wrapping.
(She writes the order form, so she's putting the box in.)
Also, we are reducing the price of the Echo of Small Things art box
by 25%, from $79 down to $59. That's below wholesale. We made only 129
of these, and we have about 50 left. Most art dealers raise the price
of limited art when quantities dwindle, but I would rather get these
into the hands of people who will enjoy them. On January 1, the price
will return to $79. These will not be reprinted. Art box order form is:

∗ News of upcoming projects
I'll know more more about these in a month or two, but here's a short
preview of things to come:
- A Live CD with Ian Boddy is due out around March '08. This documents
our concert in June '07 for the 30th anniversary of Star's End radio
on WXPN, Philadelphia PA. We are still working out titles and artwork.
- I am assembling a "Best Of" 2-disk set of material from 1986-1998,
the Hearts of Space era. This should come out next year.
- I plan to perform two small shows in the San Francisco Bay Area
in February and March '08. If you live in the area, check the website
for more details (when I know them.) Here are the plans:
