I'll try this week. Today I spent rebuilding my vibrato scanner on my
B-3. Nice piece of machinery. I might try to add one sometime to my
MOTM synth as I don't have any motors on it yet! A scanner along with
a photo cell and lamps on the drive shaft and you could have a "Circle
Machine Scanner". A nice combination although it would require a
variable speed motor.
The FFB nicely widens the sound image when using even / odd as the
right and left outputs. It's very nice through headphones. Just
turning the bypass on and off really demonstrates how much it improves
the fullness. I haven't even played with the filtering that much. It's
worth it just for the stereo enhancement although I never architected
my synth for stereo. The final output mixer is mono and on complete
opposite sides from the FFB. My attenuating recording cables are all
mono. Time to shift my paradigm. If I get some good patches going
this week I'll try and post some recordings.
