Subject: Re: TLM-156 kit / Todd Faulkner + a little new story

From: "edibennardo" <endiendi@...>

Hello, I belong to the group too and besides Todd Faulkner (that I
wouldn't define a bad trader but more likely a true bas∗∗rd). i had
another incredible story with someone who for almost one year
seduced me to produce a midi kit for the Elka synthex (he knew i had
done one example for my personal use years back) After a long trial,
finding the pcb file, finding the same factory that had moved,
finding all obsolete components, writing the eproms and so on, i
sent him 8 kits after several months of hard work. After dozenths of
messages and a very friendly relation achieved I didn't mind to be
paid in advance i just sent the kits telling my expenses and asking
to maintain the same price because we were just doing something for
the synthex community and not for earning money, well HE SOLD ALL
THE KITS advertising in IN ANALOG HEAVEN list EARNING 1200$ without
ever sending anything to me, even shipping cost to him was paid by
me. This is an astonishing behaviour that hurts a lot and spoils all
good intentions of people like me and like almost everyone in these
groups. His name was URO or Pierre, very active in rhodes chroma
list. He literaly stole almost one year of my efforts, time, money
without spending a single cent and earning 1200$ or more, really
disgusting. I don't even know his address or his family name since
he asked me to send the kits to his technician Greg Montalbano. Hey
I'm not saying that Greg montalbano was involved with this story I
think that simply two of URO's Synthexes were sitting there waiting
to be midi retrofitted.
I apologize for the off tpic but really not off topic for four of us
in this fantastic MOTM list full of fantastic people.
