Given that the MIDI Tuning Standard program number is part of the MTS file,
I expect programming of the quantizer over USB to be cumbersome. I wouldn't
expect the standard PC and MAC tuning tools to implement USB, and I don't
expect general USB dump tools to support MTS. You'd have to create the file
on SCALA for PC or Li'l Miss' Scale Oven for MAC, including the embedded
program number, then do the actual transfer with a USB utility. It is
better to have the program number accessible from the tool used to do the
programming, so that you can change it on the fly as necessary.
So my vote is for a MIDI jack. Without the programming feature
(microtunable), a quantizer is useless to me.
