It all sounds good. But...
I just think that adding a "hidden" saw mode with a different switch
(and some code, of course) would add significantly to the
marketability of the module. Even if there's a small additional cost
for saw mode, like 50 bucks. I don't imagine the expander will be
cheap -- what MOTM module is? So if getting a supersaw VCO requires
spending $400 plus, say, $300... well, I don't know what the market
will bear, but for $700 one can probably just buy a Roland synth with
supersaw and be done with it. (Yes, yes, the modular market is
different than the keyboard market, whatever.)
