While, I do not have a specific answer to your question, that is a
common issue with common transistors. Transistors, or their various
substitutions, available in the same package (eg. TO-92), can often
have different pin-outs, or be offset differently. The best way is
to look up or test the transistor you have in order to determine
which pin is what, then figure out which traces go where based on the
schematic. Fortunately, the Synthesis Technology schematics are
excellent, and the boards are very well organized.
